Looking for sites where I can download Music?

This site was originally designed to share my favorite music with my friends. But I have found  that most of my friends are more interested in how to find mp3 music to download, preferably for free, or at least for a low cost subscription. So I have decided to make this a resource site listing the mp3 download sites I get hold of free music downloads and some of the more useful tools I have discovered for finding particular mp3 music files for download and software for "ripping" mp3 to audio cd's.

Having trouble searching for MP3 music files and downloads sites?

There is a neat bit of software that I have found invaluable when I'm trying to track down a music file to download. Searching manually can take a long time, this takes a lot of the effort out.

Need to rip your mp3 music files on to audio cd's?

Once you've got the mp3 files you want, you may well want to rip them on to an audio cd so you can listen to them in your car or your normal cd player, rather than just your PC or mp3 player. For this you need a bit of software to rip your mp3 files on to audio cd.
